The STUDIO CONCERT BAND section lists scores of a more commercial "pop" nature. The concept resulted from working with a number of community band looking for different material along with a much need addition of vocals. In general these scores are for the basic concert band instrumentation with the following exceptions: a complete sax section (sometimes with soprano replacing alto 1) and a complete or partial rhythm section. Always included are electric bass and drum set. Some scores make use of piano, harp, synth and/or guitar. Additionally, recognizing the scarcity or lack of some instruments available to community bands I have eliminated English Horn, Soprano and Alto Clarinets, Contrabassoon and Contra Bass Clarinet. With the same consideration in mind written as optional are 2nd oboe, 2nd bassoon. Usually supplied are 4 F horns however the arrangements acknowledge the probable unavailability of all 4.
